Hole #3
-ER and Mitochondria
-The smooth ER is conncected to the membrane of the mitochondria.
-There is an open channel between the ER and the mitochondria.
-Proteins are transferred from the ER to the mitochondria.
-The smooth ER represents tunnels because that is what it resembles in a cell and the rough ER represents sand because of it's grain like texture.
-The mitochondria represents the final golf hole because once the ball is hit into it, it triggers a waterfall. This shows how the mitochondria is a "power house".
Hole #4
-Vacuole and Nucleus
-some cells have a process in which the vacuole is in a close association with the nucleus.
-Both store materials: nucleus stores genetic information and vacuoles store needed materials like water.
-the vacuole represents a water pit because it can hold a lot of water.
-The nucleus represents a volcano which causes a reaction because when the ball is hit into it, it controls this reaction and the nucleus is known as the control center.
